Usually not: Dislocation may affect any of the ribs;with, the lower ribs are most vulnerable because they are not attached as firmly as the upper 7 pairs. The floating ribs are not as susceptible to slipping. In most cases,one of the pairs of the 10th rib, which is the lowest of the false ribs, may experience slippage.
