Can a slipping rib in any one of the ribs 8-12 cause pain in any one of the ribs 1-7?

Rib slipping : As a doctor of osteopathic doctor and a chiropractor, my experience is that rib problems often can affect different levels. So rib 7 can effect 8 and rib 6. If a person has multiple rib problems I would consider looking at the spine or the attached rib muscles. It is not likely ribs 8-12 would affect the ribs from 1-3. For example, Rib one is an independent rib and has its own mechanics.
