Normal to have pcos symptoms despite being lean without ir nor any metabolic issues? have much trouble managing it but also have a pituitary tumor.

Possible to have: PCOS with normal weight, approximately 50% of people with PCOS are normal weight. Sometimes blood tests for PCOS and rechecking IR with a 3 hr glucose test, and insulin levels can be helpful. Prolactin excess can also cause some of the PCOS symptoms as well.

PCOS ?: PCOS may be accompanied by insulin resistance (IR), and may be related to growth of a pituitary tumor, however, decreased pituitary releasing hormones may affect ovulation, and provide the basis for PCOS, but if prolactin levels are high, the pituitary tumor may interfere also with vision. Make sure you are followed by a neurosurgeon for the pituitary tumor.
