A member asked:

Have an lh/fsh ratio of 1.75:1. i"m lean & sure i'm not ir nor have any metabolic issues but do have a pituitary tumor. is this due to tumor or pcos?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PCOS? : In cases of documented PCOS, the LH/FSH ratio can be 1.75/1, because the LH value is slightly elevated beyond normal, and is appropriate for a non-ovulating female with PCOS, if the FSH level is not menopausal (i.e., over 10). If you have a pituitary tumor which is not affecting pituitary releasing factors, your LH/FSH ratio would be similar to the numbers given.
