A member asked:

I have a swollen eyelid not sure what the cause is. i know i'm not allergic. i don't have contact lenses. can a gp help me with this or do i visit an eye doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Swollen eyelid: Very often swollen eyelids are caused by inflammation of glands in the eyelids and resolve with an application of a warm pack for 15 minutes four times a day. There are other reasons such as infections, and allergies. You can see a general practitioner.
