Hydrate well: Best way to prevent stones is to hydrate with at last 2.5 liters of fluid a day and to limit meat protein to 8 ounces a day with lower salt intake in diet. Also, no more than 2 servings of dairy daily. These are general guidelines. If you have had many stones then seeing a urologist for a more detailed evaluation is certainly recommended.
