I was curious with my level of fitness and activity what a good calorie intake would be. i currently weigh 158 lbs and typically average an hour a day of either cardio (6 mile run) and/or strength training. daily calorie intake ?

Daily calories: You burn about 500 calories exercising and I calculate that you would need about 2500 calories a day to maintain your present weight. A registered dietician could determine your ideal weight and calculate your daily calorie needs the best however. She could critique your eating habits and determine how much daily protein intake is best for you as well.
