Gout?: You need to see a physician for proper diagnosis, but it does sound like gout could be a possibility. Get it checked out and treated!

Could be a : We things including tendonitis, neuritis etc would be helpful if you described what part of the toe hurt, what type of pain you are feeling, when you feel it most etc......
