Hi, 6 mths ago i had a plantar fibroma at the bottom of my foot for no appearance reason and after a month it went away. today i noticed i have p. fib again at the bottom of my toe which is very painful. what's the cause & constant reoccurring? thx?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Fibroma is a benign tumor and would not just go away. It is not clear to what you are calling fibroma. It would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Plantar fibromas are usually benign. Fibromas themselves are not painful. However, they can be pressed against a foot structure, nerve or muscle while ambulating. Seek a podiatrist or orthopedic doctors for follow up. Injections with cortisone or surgical removal are two treatments. Custom insoles if not a candidate for surgery.

Plantar warts are common causes of tender lesions of the soles of the feet. A podiatrist is best qualified to diagnose,treat and follow-up on such foot problems.
