Plantar fibromas are usually benign. Fibromas themselves are not painful. However, they can be pressed against a foot structure, nerve or muscle while ambulating. Seek a podiatrist or orthopedic doctors for follow up. Injections with cortisone or surgical removal are two treatments. Custom insoles if not a candidate for surgery.
