Candidiasis: High levels of blood sugar may increase tendency to develop candidiasis of the esophagus or stomach. Since your hiv test was negative and you're not taking antibiotics or cortisone type medications(which can be causes) and don't have other features of immune deficiency,I would eliminate the soda and all sweets.Get checked for diabetes if not already done and Get treated for the candidiasis.
