A member asked:

Explain please results. crp normal, plasma viscosity 1.83? protein electrophoresis normal, connective tissue and rheumatic normal. why viscosity high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, plasma viscosity of 1.83 is normal. Water is set at viscosity of 1.0 and plasma normally has proteins that makes it more viscous than water.
