Last week i was in the lowveld. when i returned i noticed my shoulder was very itchy and still is and i saw these bumps which i thought were mosquito bites, but now four days later they have not gone away at all. please advise?

Shingles : I wonder if you had shingles, and it wasn't full blown. Shingles is a rash on one side of the body as a result of a virus which also causes chicken pox. If your immune system was strong, then the itchy was really mild pain and those bites may have been small vesicles.
