Had root canal, infection present. been on antibiotics for 7days prior & only have 1day left. should i have been prescribed more due to infection?

Antibiotics: 7 days is a normal course of antibiotic coverage. Sometimes a second course, or a change in antibiotic, is necessary. If infection persists even after 2nd course of medication, a second opinion with an Endodontist, a root canal specialist, may be in order.

RCT tooth infection: There is a wide range of specific circumstances that determine the specific antibiotic, dosage and regimen deemed appropriate in these circumstances. Although common and adequate in many cases, your specific circumstances may require a variation from the norm. You need to have confidence in your dentist and what he/she prescribes. Your question should be directed to the dentist treating you. Call
