A member asked:

Is it normal to be vomiting from a uti? i was at the er yesterday and have been throwing up since then. er said i have a uti and prescribed keflex.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI: Vomiting is not a prominent symptom in an uncomplicated lower urinary tract (bladder) infection but can occur with kidney infections. The keflex or any other medication may be the cause of the vomiting. If vomiting persists discontinue keflex and call your physician for instructions or repeat examination. Don't allow yourself to become dehydrated.
