UTI: Sounds like you have many WBCs in the urine - 'pyuria'. If symptoms are worse, you may have infection ascending to the kidneys - 'pyelonephritis' - and may need more aggressive treatment. You need to speak with your doctor as soon as possible or go to local ED.

48 hours: It usually takes forty-eight hours for antibiotics to reach therapeutic levels. Getting a bit worse can be common. If the symptoms are intolerable then please go to the ER. If you can make it another day you may feel better tomorrow.
