UTI in Men: That seems like the correct Antibiotic and you should finish the course usually 10 days and get repeat urine test done after you finish the Antibiotic.Even though UTIs are more common in women, but men can also get it.Sometime there are certain condition which put you at risk of UTI.Like enlarged Prostate, kidney stones,Diabetes and any health condition that affects the immune system.

KEFLEX is indicated for the treatment of genitourinary tract infections, including acute prostatitis, caused by susceptible isolates of Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. If you are a man without fever and you have "uncomplicated" UTI, this week's JAMA has an article comparing shorter courses of antibiotic. For now, please follow your physician's instructions.
