I have a uti and ive been taking keflex to treat it. went to the er yesterday for it. i feel worse today and have a fever now. started at 102.4 but now its 100.8. should i go back to the dr or get some rest for now? thank you?

I suspect your urine culture results are not back yet. Keflex should handle urinary bladder infections but not necessarily a kidney infection & that is why we need the urine culture,sensitivity& colony count results. If your fever spikes up, If you develop shaking chills or back pain, go back to the ER. Drink lots of fluids,take Tylenol.

Back pain for several days, was on Nitrofurantoin mono. Couldn't finish the last pill. Went back for uti and was prescribed Cephalexin liquid medicine. Just took first dose a few hours ago. Now have a low grade fever and nausea bad. Kidney infection?
