I am reluctant to accept a bacterial vaginitis diagnosis in a girl that age without more information. Discharge at that age is often a reaction to retained toilet paper or other debris in the introitus. Bathing in sudsy water that is not flushed adequately from the genitals may cause recurrent/persistent irritation/drainage. The med could help but would not be my 1st choice for either issue.
