A member asked:

I had a urogram to check my kidneys/bladder. those turned out normal, but a bochdalek hernia was noted(i read the report). should i be concerned?

The basics: This condition results from the failed joining of 2 membranes that form the diaphragm by the 6th week of pregnancy. Large defects allow the abdominal contents to compress developing lungs & can result in death in the newborn. Those who make it to adulthood are often without symptoms but may develop significant problems. see: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmc3043584
