Low possibility: What you are describing is hernia through defect in diaphragm usually on left side posterior. Now these are usually diagnosed in infants or children and may need to be fixed if lung or GI development threatened. As an adult you have either lived with this for a long period and body has accommodated with risk now mainly of GI problems or obstruction. Hernia in that location could also be fromtrauma

Had a CT w contrast of abdominal and pelvic cavity nothing noted except small hiatal hernia. I did notice a slightly swollen mesenteric lymph node along the celiac chain or something to that affect. But in the final report nothing was mentioned?
