Can a fat containing bochdalek hernia cause pain in an adult? can the hernia be larger than suspected on ct scan? can ct miss organ entrapment?

Bochdalek hernias: presenting in adulthood are relatively rare, and of those, it is relatively rare to have symptoms. But, symptoms such as pain can occur, and would depend on size and other factors. CT provides fairly exact measurements, although it is possible that physiologic factors could cause temporary size changes. CT will not miss organ entrapment.
