Maxxilofacial: CT studies the FRONT portion of the skull above the lower jaw....It would NOT include the neck (HYOID) or the back STYLOID process Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Radiology/neurology. Ct scan shows bone, MRI shows soft tissue, so therefore can't indentify disease of skull bones. Intercrainial means misdiagnosis?
RHI scan shows lesion right occipital bone likely osteoma or meningioma.Noncontrast brain CT August21 says no mass lesions.New ct skull vault booked.is it poss that lesion appeard between scans? or was brain ct unlikely to see it being non contrast?
