Ectopy: What does your outpatient monitoring show? Pvc's,Pac's, single,couplets,runs? How many ectopic beats per 24 hours? Ectopic beats more common at rest,during exercise? If over 10000 ectopic beats or 10% of all beats, beta blockers should help. Ectopy probably caused by current leakage in atrium or ventricle. For pvc's other medications like mexilitene,flecainide,amiodarone, diltiazem may help.
