Unlikely: IBS tends to be a chronic condition one has for many years and doesn't suddenly develop overnight when you're 45, so probably not IBS. It could be a virus, a parasite, a bad reaction to something you ate or SIBO, a bacterial imbalance of your small intestines. I would not be concerned but if these symptoms persist then see a doctor, preferably one who practices integrative/functional medicine.
