Any Dr Can prescribe: Any licensed medical doctor can prescribe antidepressants. And many primary care physicians, such as Family Doctors and General Physicians, are very well trained in dealing with mental health care and have humane approaches for prevention and treatment. However, extreme caution should be used with antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs due to possible serious side effects
