A member asked:

Is it okay for a psychiatrist to immediately prescribe an antidepressant without hearing the full story from the patient?

Treatment: Not sure of the exact circumstances. If the psychiatrist heard enough of the story and is convinced of evidence for depression then action may be reasonable. However, you are the patient. If you are not satisfied with the conclusion or action you are not obligated to take the therapy.
