Canker sores: Annoying canker sores, that last for about 2 weeks and then disappear, are not a sign of HIV. There are many other oral lesions, almost all not related to HIV, that may appear to the untrained eye as "canker sores." air you are concerned, make an appointment with your Dentist or your PCP for a look-see. If you are concerned about HIV exposure, ask your PCP to do the appropriate lab test.
