Canker sores: These mouth sores can be associated with herpes virus, and multiple nutritional deficits. Start with twice daily salt water rinse, add a chewable multi-vitamin daily, lysine (an amino acid) supplement. If you are not significantly better in about 10 days, get in with your doc. There are more serious possibilities. Be well.

Canker sores specifically are not caused by a virus but are an inflammatory condition.
