how much magnesium is safe to take a day on top of food? and what type? for muscle twitches and pvcs. mag level 0.75mmol/l

Hard to overdo: It is safe to take very high amounts of magnesium as there is no toxic dose unless you have kidney failure. However, many forms are poorly absorbed and cause diarrhea. Your level is quite low. My favorite forms are Magesium taurate and/or glycinate. Try about 300 mg twice a day. See https://drcarolyndean.com/magnesium_miracle/ for more info, Her ReMag is also good.
