A member asked:

How is it possible to test magnesium levels? gp gave me mg without test, due to weird sensations&muscle pains/twitches 2mths ago, it didn't improve.

Magnesium test: magnesium is tested as a simple blood test - is routine. If magnesium is low, then urine testing for magnesium content is the follow up test. Can be tested as serum Mg or as red blood cell Mg. Cell Mg more accurately exhibits body stores. Serum Mg reflects intake vs excretion over hours.
