It depends...: Ticks can transmit many different infections-famously Lyme disease but also Babesia,Bartonella, Mycoplasma etc. Not all ticks carries infection and usually the tick must be attached 24 hours or longer to transmit infection. It's normal to have some redness where the bite was but see a Dr. if there is a bullseye rash or if you have ANY symptoms of infection like fever,achiness,headache,sore throat.
