I cant see my doctor till mid jan and i have lumps on my leg,im seeing a kidney doctor next wk,can she do referrals to a podiatrist, that way i wont have to wait till mid jan, i dont want to bother them in the er or urgent care to do that, so can she?

As a kidney specialist I can tell you I can't refer a patient to a podiatrist unless you have PPO insurance but in that case you can see any doctor you want. However, your nephrologist can look at the lesions & if he thinks you should be evaluated by a specialist ASAP then he can pick up the phone and contact your family doctor for a referring request & I have done that many times for my patients.
