Yes, : Yes, please take him immediately. Leg pain in children can be concerning for an infection, such as infection of his hip joint. Please take him immediately to his doctor, but if his doctor can't see him right away, or he has fever, continued pain, or can't walk on his leg then go to the er.

Physician visit: if he is limping and has a fever, please see the Emergency Room. Your PCP can otherwise assess him for infection or a fracture.
