A member asked:

My baby boy is 14mo and no teeth have appeared yet. growth in line with charts and has got hair. is there a risk he wont have teeth? should i wait?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't wait: Although 14 months is a bit late, it's not that unusual. All children, whether they have teeth present or not, should see a Dentist by their 1st b'day. Because of your son's special circumstances you should see a Pediatric Dental Specialist, a Pedodontist, for dento-facial growth and development supervision. If he sees a Pediatrician he should also see a Pedodontist.
