Gastritis is vague: gastritis is different from ulcer. What medication did he start?- Inflammation of mucous membrane of stomach. Change your diet by avoiding highly processed food,spicy food,chocolates,alcohol,acidic food,dairy & high gluten food. Take green tea with manuka honey,garlic extract, essential oils & probiotics
