Often people make their gastritis worse by their daily habits Avoid spicy foods, chocolate, mint, carbonated drinks, coffee. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Lose weight if you are overweight with a large abdomen. Don't eat for at least 3 hours before bedtime. You may need to avoid vitamins or/and dairy depending on the medications you are taking. Ask about sleep apnea, celiac disease.
