Yes: Pericarditis is a clinical diagnosis. Sonar as you put it is echocardiography and does not confirm resolution. An echo can show resolution of an effusion. Pericarditis (inflammation of the lining of heart muscle) can happen with or without an effusion. Treatment is use of antiflammatories (Advil around the clock +/- colchicine) AND cessation of exercise temporarily. If pain recurs, stop exercise
