Hi i am from india. why a person who has liver cirrhosis also has a swollen feet? less blood flow to feet? would it last for years?

Cirrhosis picture: Cirrhosis of liver is a progressive disease. Swollen feet is due to low albumin.Liver is unable to produce normal amount of albumin. High protein diet- meat,fish & eggs. Albumin transfusion can be tried.

See DR: Swollen feet due to lymphatic and venous back pressure as well as low albumen. High protein diet can lead to hepatic encephalopathy. See a Dr who is knowledgable about liver. Meanwhile use elastic stockings knee length and elevate legs as much as tolerated. The Dr may give you furosamide and spironolactone.
