A member asked:

Hi! im 31 y old. i had strep throat 5 weeks ago along with a virus. got antibiotics. today, left lymph node neck still mildly swollen, is it normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not unusual: Swelling of neck lymph nodes in association with a throat infection would not be unusual. These nodes should slowly recede over the next week or two. If not or if they actually continue to enlarge or if new ones develop, concern for a more serious disease would be raised.
