Ive had 2 swollen nodes since 2015. i began working at a daycare back then and had over 12 recurrent strep throat ever since. i thought the lymph nodes were due to so many strep throats but i havent had any st since 2/17 and are still there.

Swollen nodes : In some patients the lymph nodes may remain enlarged due to inflammation but no infection. If they remain swollen, I recommend seeing a rheumatologist. I would be happy to do a consult if needed.

Normal, dont worry: When you had your sore throat, the lymph nodes, guardians of the immune system, reacted with the strep and swelled up. The fight, which your immune system won led to some scarring in the node leaving it still palpable. everyone has a lymph node somewhere. it is all ok and normal
