A member asked:

Our daughter is starting to show a lot of the symptoms of reflux and we are not sure at what point we should see a paediatrician? she is 3 weeks old.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

When you choose: Reflux is almost universal in infancy but the effect of symptoms vary considerably. They tend to amplify as they age to 3-4 months when they have more belly muscle strength and begin to decline by the age baby is able to sit up. (gravity helps stop reflux) If the kid is thriving but has mild symptoms you can wait. If the kid is struggling with symptoms or growth slows, time for a visit.
