Thicken formula: Spitting up is part of a normal infant feeding process. Some do more than others. When they are excessively fussy or do so to the point they fail to gain weight we usually call it reflux. This process naturally worsens as they get older, peaking in intensity at 3-4 mo and lessening when the begin to sit up. If you thicken the formula with more powder or cereal it may stay down better.
