It's five days now that i feel my tongue and upper part of throat burning. could it be my anxiety?

Dr. can check throat: New throat pain or burning can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, oral thrush, irritants, or stomach acid reflux. Usually, a person sees her doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, unusual, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep).
