If you can swallow your own spit & drink water without pain this should self heal. It may give discomfort for a while but will pass in a few days. If you cannot swallow water without choking and spitting up, go get evaluated.

The pharyngeal area is more heat sensitive than the anterior part of your mouth so it makes you feel more burning sensation after swallowing warm or hot food. Your voice will change right away when your larynx is injured and you will cough severely when food gets in the airway. No, you do not have laryngeal or trachea burn so you should not be anxious for nothing.

You did not burn your larynx. Had the food, hot or cold gotten into your larynx, you would have choked. If you got a burn in your esophagus, it will heal without intervention.

Lay report of “Laryngeal burn” after swallowing overly hot-cooked food. Never seen my experience. If were to occur, first clinical sign expected would be voice change with raspy hoarse voice. If the epiglottis were to swell would manifest as significant sore throat. It is doubtful that epiglottal swelling would significantly impede airflow to the lung. Ice water sips would lessen tissue swelling.

If you cannot, swallow, water or food, gets stuck in your esophagus, and does not pass through then you need to get urgent evaluation by a gastroenterologist.
