Fibroids & pregnancy: Uterine fibroids can interfere in initial conception, cause early miscarriage as well as premature labor if you get that far in the pregnancy. Fibroids can be treated with ablation or removal(myomectomy) prior to conception. Myomectomy allows future conception and possible vaginal delivery options in the presence of labor. There is still a risk of uterine rupture if not repaired well.
