Can fibroids decrease in size and/or number? i had over a half dozen during pregnancy, including one over 4cm. two years later ultrasound shows only one, less than 1cm. where did they go?

Pregnancy has a relative high level of estrogen (estriol), which can stimulate growth in size of "fibroids". After pregnancy, the decrease in exposure to the stimulating effect will diminish, and the size of the benign fibroids will diminish as well.
