A member asked:

How do you know if your ana was done by elisa or ifa? why is my ana positive but with no titer? labs are positive ana, positive dsdna 14 and scl70 >8.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: The doctor probably ordered an ANA screen but no titer or pattern. Often the titer and pattern are done automatically if the screen is positive. An ANA screen has no real clinical significance without a titer and pattern being done as well. An anti-DNA of only 14 qalso has little clinical significance in itself. Since you do not mention your symptoms it is difficult to be specific.
