Pre-op heart murmur: Careful listening can detect additional sounds, technically called "murmurs" , which may occur just because of a more rapid heart beat associated with natural apprehensions associated with "pre-op testing". Prior to your procedure, an anesthesiologist will also generally listen and evaluate this sound, but usually it is not of pathological significance.
