? RTI: Respiratory tract infection, usually due to a virus, causing upper and lower respiratory symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms too. The cough is due to bronchial irritation/inflammation , that's why he may need bronchodilators to help ease the symptoms and open up the tightened airways, you need to see the pediatrician or go to urgent care, wish you both wellness
