My son is experiencing fever (better by: with fluids, rest) (worsened by: dehydration (fluid loss), exercise or physical activity) (severity: severe) , cough (worsened by: lying flat, worse at night) (quality: with phelgm or mucus) , runny nose and vomit

Cough, fever: This may be a viral illness, but could be pneumonia presentation, with silent breath sounds but a + CXR. For that, I would bring him to an urgent care clinic to review his status and determine if a CXR would be helpful to rule this out.
